Parents! We want you to know what Crusade has to offer your student. Hopefully we can answer your most frequently asked questions here:

1. What is Campus Crusade?

Campus Crusade for Christ is one of the largest student organizations at the University of Central Florida, and has been active for over a decade. We are an inter-denominational Christian ministry with the intent to give every student an opportunity to embrace the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. We love to serve the community of UCF, and Campus Crusade offers plenty of areas for students to get involved and to get better connected with other UCF students.  Campus Crusade was started in 1951 by Dr. Bill Bright.  For more information, check out this website:  http://www.ccci.org

2. What church are you associated with?

Campus Crusade is interdenominational, and we are connected to many great churches in the area. We encourage all of our students to get involved with a local church as a part of their regular spiritual growth. We have several church partnerships in the area where we have personal relationships with the leadership and where they support us financially and otherwise.

3. How can I help my student get involved?

You can help your student get involved in a lot of different ways. You can check out the get involved section of the website, and we encourage you to read about the Big Opportunities as well. One thing that we have found to be true is that friendships are often forged when people "role up their sleeves" together and go on mission or serve together. Road trips are great for making friends as well, so we hope that you encourage and support your student to come to our events, go on our trips, and push them to take the challenge of finding new experiences while they are in college. A lot of times, a student takes significant steps to growth on our fall retreat or on our road trip to Unveiled '08.

4. Can I have someone from Cru contact my student?

We have lots of ways for students to find us on campus, but sometimes people can't find us on such a large campus. We encourage you to tell your student about us, and about this website. You can request to have a staff member contact your student through email or facebook. Please click here to send an email to our staff team and help us to get to know your student.

5. What is your relationship with the University of Central Florida?

We are an officially recognized student organization at UCF, and there are several hundred other organizations that have all different interests and focuses. Our desire is to serve the campus and to help create an environment where every student feels welcome and has a place to plug in and find friends.

6. Can I find you during freshman orientation or during the summer?

Yes! In fact UCF Cru is in action all year long, and we have summer programming called Summer Cru. Your student can begin to get involved if they begin school in the summer, and even if your student is starting in the fall, they can join our summer activities on campus. It is a great way to meet new students and get ahead of the game...

7. Is there a chance I can meet the staff or see Crusade myself?

Yes! Parents are welcome to come and check out our weekly meeting on Thursday nights. Also, every year we will host a Parents' event where you can come and hear about what Crusade is doing on campus, and where you can meet the staff and student leaders. Stay tuned to GoUCF.com and your student to hear about when these events are happening.

8. What can I do to contribute?

Campus Crusade at UCF is dependant upon the support of the body of Christ around us. We are in great need of the financial contributions of parents, local businesses, and churches. If you would like to learn more about how you can get involved and what that might look like, please visit our Contributions Page. We hope that you can get involved with us in making an eternal difference in the lives of hundreds and thousands of students at UCF!
